New Member Open House (Adult Only)
We welcome our New Members to SHYC. Board Members & Committee Chairs will be present and tours of the campus will be provided by Sailing School Instructors.
2024 All-Member Cocktail Party - Saturday, June 29 5:30-8:00pm
Members (over the age of 21) of every category come together at SHYC to kick off the Summer. Cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres provided. Ladies, remember to wear wedge or flat shoes... party will be on the wharf, grass and sand. Members are allowed to bring one guest. Buy your tickets here!
If you are attending, we have hired Chatham Valet to transport members and guests by road-approved golf carts. The drivers will be traveling around the loop from 5:15-8:30pm with designated stops at the following street intersections: Cedar/Stage Harbor, Cedar/Battlefield, Stage Neck/Moonpenny, Battlefield/Champlain/Sears, and Bridge/Stage Harbor. Please use this service if you live along the loop. For those who do not, please park near one of the stops and utilize this transportation - Bridge Street has plentiful street parking. Please observe all posted signage and street regulations.

Deck Nights
Club sponsored events that on one of the 3 “Deck” locations- (capacities TBD RSVP likely required- Deck Nights are Adults Only.) Clubhouse, Sailing Center Upper Deck and Wharf. Casual food or food truck and BYOB! Come join your fellow members and enjoy our beautiful “Decks!”
Fun Fridays (July and August)
Roughly Equivalent to Deck Nights but including kids!
Sunsets at Stage Harbor - Member reserved nights on one of three decks.
Thursday to Sunday evenings from July to Sept will be reserved for members. We will charge a cleaning/non-refundable reservation deposit fee Social Coordinator will be responsible for set up of tables closing down at designated time. Sign up will be at least 30 days in advance and will be well communicated via email and text
Clambake
Dining outdoors on Chief’s Pier! This adults only event offers a casual clam bake meal under a tent overlooking Stage Harbor. A mid summer opportunity to connect with friends that is not to be missed. Outdoors on Chief’s Pier!
 Senior Luncheon
A chance for our Senior Members to be honored by younger Members and Staff at a luncheon at the club.
 Luau
Now in its 61st year, the Luau is an SHYC summer tradition for all Members. Hop in a boat and head on over to Crescent Beach for a day of fun! Grills, soft drinks and music are provided.
Can to Can Racing
Join us for a new SHYC series Can-to-Can Racing! The Series is for any club member 21 year of age or older. Come down to the club with beverages of your choice, and race around some channel markers in the harbor for fun. Can-to-Can will be held in the 420 class, feel free to show up with or without a partner.
Ladies Night Out
The ladies take over the Club open to all female members over 21+! Come on by and enjoy in the festivities. The "Hosts" always have a fun "theme" going. BYOB
Ladies' Luncheon
All adult female Members (not just Sailors) are invited to come together to celebrate the end of the Ladies' Race Series for the Season.

Please join your female club members for an end-of-season potluck luncheon on the beautiful SHYC Wharf! Adult sailors (and non sailors welcome.
New Year's Eve Gathering
Come by the Club to say goodbye to the Old Year and Welcome in the New Year and enjoy a warm fire and conversation. We will have light snacks and Hot chocolate. BYOB
